Dear Davis Families,

We had a great start to the week with our annual Veteran’s Day program yesterday! It was wonderful to have the opportunity to honor all veterans, and especially those in attendance from our Davis community. This week is already flying by and I’m sure next week will be the same. In this season of thanks, I’d like to thank all of you for being a part of the Davis community. Thank you for sharing your children with us, and thank you for all of your support and partnership on behalf of your children. I’m so grateful to be a part of this amazing school community. I know we all share appreciation for our hardworking Davis teachers and staff, and i’d like to give everyone the opportunity to share a message of gratitude to them as well. Principal Coffee- Human Sexuality & Responsibility (HSR) Lessons

At this session on Wednesday morning, I will share information about the HSR lessons that will be taught to Kindergarten-5th grade students in December. The presentation will include an overview of the lessons, information for accessing the detailed lesson plans on the AISD website, and the process we will use for parents to have their children participate or opt out of the lessons. 

CAC Meeting this Thursday

On the agenda for this meeting: Citizen’s Communication, Davis Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) Progress Check, AISD Student Success Guide Feedback. All CAC meetings are open for anyone to attend. Child care is provided.

School Health Advisory Committee

The School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is a school board-appointed advisory group of individuals representing different community segments. By law, most of the members must be parents of students enrolled in the district who are not employed by the district. The AISD SHAC comprises parents, community members, students, and school staff working together to improve the health of all students and families through coordinated school health programs. The next School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) meeting is Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
