Dear Davis Families and Community,
My name is Jenny Daniels and I am the proud principal of Will Davis Elementary! I was born in Louisiana and grew up mostly in Houston. I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Texas at Austin- Hook ‘Em! After teaching at the elementary level in Houston, Toronto, and Tullahoma, Tennessee, I took some time away from elementary teaching and taught preschool. After that, I was a preschool director for several years.
While I loved every minute of being a classroom teacher, I also enjoyed my work as preschool director, as I was able to support students and teachers, and partner with parents/guardians in support of their children. My decision to pursue public school administration came from my desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community. I received my graduate degree in Educational Administration from Texas State University- Go Bobcats!
I have been a fan of Davis since my oldest child started kindergarten at Davis in 2000. I was an active parent volunteer for several years before having the good fortune to become Davis Assistant Principal in 2007. In 2013, I experienced a dream come true when I was appointed Davis Principal. It is an honor and a pleasure to be a part of this incredible school community.
I have been married for over thirty years and have two adult children, both graduates of Davis, Murchison, Anderson, and Texas A&M- Gig ‘Em! I enjoy spending time with family, cooking (especially Cajun food), baking, exercising, hiking, traveling, and just relaxing and reading a good book!
I’m looking forward to exploring new frontiers this year with all in the Davis community and doing everything I can to make this a great year for everyone!
Warmly,
Jenny Daniels
